Friction Quartet is excited to open their 21-22 concert season with the long awaited premiered of five commissions from their second Commissioning Initiative. The music from Sofia Belimova, Carolina Bragg, Theodore Haber, Kari Watson, and Benjamin Champion explores a range of topics and techniques that challenge the quartet to experiment, creating a concert experience full of innovation and expression. The quartet will also give a sixth bonus premiere of the sensational new quartet it was never okay written by Isaac Schankler.

All of the quartet members are fully vaccinated.
Tickets will not be sold at the door, and should be purchased ahead of time, though they can be purchased through this event listing at any time.
